Helen McEvoy was appointed as headteacher of the Boston Grammar Schools Federation, having previously been head of Boston High School.

Before Boston Grammar School

Helen McEvoy was born, brought up and educated in Ireland. She comes from a background of Science and Mathematics teaching in the UK and overseas.

McEvoy worked with Medway local authority as The National Strategies manager where she led the Teaching and Learning strategy for three years before returning to school as a deputy headteacher. Three years later she began her first headship at Boston High School.

After Boston Grammar School

After a spell as associate head of West Grantham Federation of Schools, Helen McEvoy, took up the post of Principal at Nuneaton Academy. “I am very excited to be joining the Nuneaton Academy and playing my part in ensuring the school provides a learning experience that is focused on achievement and success for all. I am fully committed to the academy’s Aspire, Believe, Achieve ethos.” [1]

In December 2013, Helen McEvoy left Nuneaton Academy[2] to take up the headship of Graham School, Scarborough (A Specialist Science, Arts & Enterprise College). She retired from Graham School in May 2017[3].
